Headed by an Engineering Geologist with over 35 years in the industry, our site staff are highly experienced, motivated and also provide valuable support and feedback to the design engineer. This enables us to work with Geotechnical Engineers and specialist consultants to develop a best practice approach that is both effective and safe to deliver. With upwards of 700 successful slope stabilisation projects to date we have a firm understanding of the technical and theoretical aspects of this type of work. We have created a niche within the rope access industry, and a solid reputation, for undertaking some of the most difficult to access and complicated sites. We will take on projects that many other companies would not. Our site staff relish a challenge and work safely in all manner of hostile environments to deliver a successful, timely contract.
Slope stabilisation and rock fall mitigation is a broad subject and no two sites are the same. We work closely with specialist consulting engineers to provide an effective, bespoke solution.

Site Investigation and Design
We work with some of the most experienced specialist consultants to provide innovative design-build solutions to challenging slope stability problems.
Rock Scaling and Vegetation Removal
Technical scaling operations are something we have gained a reputation for doing safely and efficiently. We are experts in careful scaling over structures and buildings.
We provide a full range of vegetation removal services including tree removal, herbicide treatment and stump poisoning with Eco plugs.
Catch Fences
We can supply and install a full range of temporary and permanent catch fence designs from bespoke systems to proprietary high energy barriers. Vertical Technology have installed catch fences in a wide variety of locations at ground level, on slopes and vertical faces.
Rock netting
We have extensive experience of all proprietary rock netting systems. Having installed thousands of square metres we always go the extra distance to ensure the result is effective and tidy.
Anchors and Rock Bolts
Using our own specialist drilling rigs, we have installed rock anchors in the most challenging locations.
Vertical Technology has extensive experience of installing DCP, galvanised, stainless steel and GRP anchors.

Soil Nailing
Owning all our own drilling equipment we provide a full soil nailing service, with experience in a wide variety of challenging ground conditions.
Retaining Structures and Sprayed Concrete
Timber retaining structures: We have developed an innovative timber retaining wall system to regain lost ground and stabilise the slip behind using anchors and lightweight PFA fills. The result is an aesthetically pleasing and natural looking solution.
Sprayed Concrete: We have a varied experience in the application of pre-mixed and bagged sprayed concrete.
Gabion Baskets
We have installed many gabion basket and mattress facing systems often working in unison with a soil nail system. These are properly constructed with no hidden shortcuts.
